Helium-3 gas is a stable and lighter isotope of ordinary helium. Helium-3 gas is odorless, colorless and tasteless. The natural abundance of helium-3 gas is 1.38 x 10-6. Helium-3 is principally shipped and used in gaseous form for detectors, NMR tracers, spectroscopy, low temperature physics, lasers, dilution refrigerators, and R & D laboratories.
